It is Going to Be Great

July 7th, 2011

I think that acting is one of the best paid careers nowadays. I think that I have always been a good actor. I have always liked acting. My mom says that when I was a kid I used to imitate what I watched on TV. In time I got better at acting and now I am a professional actor. The real problem is that there are so many people trying to get a job as actors that it is difficult to get a job as an actor. One of my best friends who is an actor told me that I should look on the Internet to find some information about Washington D.C. Casting Calls. I think that it is one of the best ways to start working as an actor. My friend told me that he got to play a role in an important movie thanks to these guys. That is why I would like to get some help from these people. I really believe that these guys are going to help me a lot. I cannot wait to start acting.

Continuity at Acting Schools

November 5th, 2010

Continuity is a big part of any production, and you will learn about it when you attend acting schools and productions. Everything in a production has to make sense and it has to run together perfectly to avoid confusing the audience or even yourself. This is what continuity is.

For example, you wouldn’t start a production based on England in 1753 and then jump to America in 1990 half-way through the play, it just doesn’t make sense. Continuity is a major part of any successful production, as people need to be able to follow a story line and concept without ending up confused. The last thing you want to do is have an audience leave a theatre scratching their head and asking each other what, exactly, the production was about. You want them leaving with a sense of completion, much like you should feel when you finish your production. The worst thing that can come from bad continuity is the actors themselves becoming confused, as this can lead to messy, obscure performances, so make sure your performance is continuity error-free.
